KERRY BENTIVOLIO CONSIDERS CANDIDACY FOR CONGRESS

Stands for the People; Transparency, Accountability and Upholding the Constitution.

By Hon. Kerry Bentivolio

Milford – Michigan  –  Kerry Bentivolio of Milford, United States Representative for Michigan’s 11th Congressional District, in office from 2013 to 2015, decorated veteran of war and the only member of Congress to have served in both Vietnam and Iraq, is considering his candidacy for Congress.

Son of factory worker, husband of a nurse, and father of two, Kerry Bentivolio has served his country, educated the youth, and designed the motor vehicles that move Michigan. A House of Representative’s historian regarded Bentivolio’s time in Congress as “the most effective and successful freshman congressman in recent memory,” prompting one House member to enter the quote in the Congressional Record (October 2014).

Bentivolio passed three pieces of legislation including the Safe and Secure Federal Websites Act that protects citizens from identity theft when using Federal websites. The Bill obtained a record number of cosponsors for a GOP freshman member of Congress. All three pieces of Rep. Bentivolio’s legislation passed the House with 100% bi-partisan support.

Congressman Bentivolio earned the top rating for transparency among freshman members of congress and tied for second place out of the 435 members. He won top ratings from the Council for Citizens against Government Waste, the U. S. Chamber of Commerce, Family Research Council, the American Conservative Union, FreedomWorks and Conservative Review, among others.

“The death of a nation happens with a whisper and a nudge, patently and stealthily, robbing its unsuspecting citizens of inalienable rights and replacing them with government controls.”

Fueled by a fervent passion, Kerry Bentivolio is a man of the people who not only understands the weight of genuine struggle, but has endured tremendous obstacles and emerged a leader with the tenacity and transparency required to inspire his constituents.

“How will the value of your days be measured? What will matter is not what you bought, but what you built; Not what you got, but what you gave. What will matter is not your success, but your significance. What will matter is not what you learned but what you taught. What will matter is every act of integrity, compassion or sacrifice that enriched, empowered or encouraged others to emulate your example. What will matter is not your competence, but your character. What will matter is not how many people you knew, but how many will feel a lasting loss when you’re gone. What will matter is the clarity and care at which you have loved others, and have been a positive influence in their lives.”
